Veggie Rx: Food is Medicine

The Hilltown Mobile Market received a grant through the Startup Circle of the Hampshire County Food Policy Council, in partnership with Cooley Dickinson Hospital, to offer a Veggie Rx prescription program.

Starting in August, prescriptions will be available in $10 vouchers to shop at the Hilltown Mobile Market and four other Hilltown farm stands. The prescriptions are being distributed through the Hilltown Community Health Center’s Community Health Worker program, targeting families who are food insecure or individuals managing a diet-related disease.
